Looking back through my pictures, I was amazed at all the fun things we've done this month! It's been so much fun to do so many different activities with so many different people. We made it to the mountains a few times, played with cousins, and the girls had a sleepover at a friend's house!

One Sunday morning, Kim, Kelsey and I hike up Excelsior Pass. I've started the hike before, but have never made it to the top. It's basically four miles up, a short loop at the top with these incredible views and a lot of bugs, and four miles back down!

Lovely view of Mt. Baker |
We spent one Saturday hiking Chain Lakes, up near Artist Point. We didn't make it up there at all last summer so we made sure we made it up to Mt. Baker at least once this year! Kim, her boys, and Grandpa and Grandma came with us. We thought we were headed out on a 6.2 mile hike but it ended up being just over 8 miles. The weather was perfect and the kids did amazing. Lydia tripped on a rock and face-planted into the dirt at one point. Miraculously, she didn't hit a single rock and ended up covered in dirt without a single scratch. I lifted her up, dusted her off, and on we went, without any complaints and only a few tears!

Excellent little hiker- she used one of Grandpa's trekking poles and hiked the entire time with a smile! |
