Because Annaliese's birthday fell on the Saturday after Thanksgiving and several of her friends were out of town, we decided to have her birthday party the following week.
On the morning of her actual birthday, she requested pancakes for breakfast and then she opened up her gifts 'from California' as she described them!

Apparently I didn't take many other pictures...but Annaliese also received several cute dresses, new boots and a few fun craft projects that we will work on over Christmas break from Papa and Gigi!
On Friday, Dec. 1, we had her birthday party with all of her friends from school and her cousins. Annaliese requested cheese pizza, a chocolate cake with white frosting, stars, hearts, and flowers, and she wanted to play 'Pin the tail on Ariel.' So that's what we did! She and her friends had so much fun playing that they never actually got around to playing 'Pin the tail on Ariel' but that's okay!

We feel so blessed to have so many people in our lives who love Annaliese so much and who were able to help us celebrate her birthday. It is incredible to watch her grow, learn new things and figure out how to do things independently while still loving and caring for her friends and those around her. We continue to pray that God will use her in amazing ways and that she will continue to grow in her love for Him.
