California-Day 3- Cousins

On Tuesdays, Grandma babysits Reed and Kieran while Auntie Sarah and Uncle Jon go to work; this Tuesday was no different and Reed and Kieran spent the day with us! At first, Annaliese and Reed had a hard time figuring out how to play together and I was a bit worried that it was going to be a long day! But they quickly figured out that they could actually have fun together if they agreed on what they should play:)  Grandpa came up with a few fun games for them to play, they colored, played with the train set, and spent some time out in the pool. Auntie Sarah and Uncle Jon came over after work and we all had dinner together.

California- Day 2- Grandma's Birthday and the Cabin

Monday was Grandma's birthday so we celebrated by spending the day up at the cabin with Auntie Sarah, Reed, Kieren, Auntie Penny, Melissa and Ben. It was pretty warm but we all had a good time!

Such a cute group of kiddos!

For the first time in quite a while, the creek running through the property is flowing; we went on a short hike to go see it. Unfortunately, the mosquitoes also loved it and we all came back with quite a few bug bites!

We haven't been up to the cabin in a long time! It was so neat to see all the work that's been done to it. It is beautiful! The last time we were there, the upstairs was still a work in progress and there wasn't this wonderful porch to hang out on!

California- Day 1- Happy Father's Day!

We decided to make a summer trip to California to visit Grandpa and Grandma, so on Sunday we left our house about 4:00 am and drove down to Seattle to catch an 8:00 flight to Fresno. We thought for sure that the girls would sleep in the car and maybe even on the plane, but we were wrong! They were too excited to sleep! The airport in Seattle was rather chaotic and I had to try three separate kiosks to get all of our boarding passes and luggage tags printed while Kyle stood in line just in case I couldn't get it to work. We finally got it, made it through a rather long line at security (which moved remarkably fast!) and arrived at our gate 15 minutes before it was time to board!

We arrived in Fresno right on time and Grandpa and Grandma were there to pick us up! We headed back to their house, ate lunch, had a little rest time and then jumped in the pool to cool off. Annaliese has been super excited to swim and could not wait to get in the pool!

Not so sure about the Minnie Mouse goggles!

Annaliese liked the idea of goggles more than actually wearing them...even though they are Elsa and Anna goggles!

Since Sunday was Father's Day, we headed over to Uncle Jon and Auntie Sarah's house for dinner. Jon's side of the family was also there so we were able to celebrate all the dad's together! Annaliese and Haleigh had so much fun playing with their cousins! Reed and Kieren have two other cousins, Lyla and Zach who were there. Lyla is almost the same age as Haleigh and Zach is Lydia's age.

Lydia and Zach (they were born 3 days apart!)

The best pic we could get of the three of them on the cough together!

Auntie Sarah made some delicious peach cobbler for dessert!
