The beginning of August

August is off to a good start. Haleigh and Lydia have been asking to get their ears pierced, so we met Grandma at the mall and visited Claires. They are loving it!

We've also made sure to get out and pick more berries. This summer we were able to pick strawberries, raspberries, and blueberries and now our freezer is very full! Annaliese is an incredibly efficient blueberry-picker so it didn't take very long and we have over 70 pounds of blueberries to last us until next summer!

This past weekend we were able to go on our church campout to Silver Lake. We've camped there before, but this time we stayed in the group camping area. It has a bunch of campsites with a picnic shelter in the center and a big grassy field that was perfect for playing games. We played frisbee, Kubb, our own made up badminton game (brought on by broken birdies, a whiffle ball, and a desire to have a good time!) We did make it out to the lake for a little bit of paddleboarding, but I didn't take my phone with me...so no pictures to prove it! On Saturday evening, we had a big BBQ and time of worship where those who didn't want to camp could come out and join us. Everyone had a great time and are already talking about doing it again next year!

Here are a few other pictures from the past few weeks.

Just noticed that we hit 200,000 miles!

Annaliese and I went for a run and she couldn't believe that there weren't any cars in sight when we crossed Double Ditch Rd!

Trying out a belly button piercing!
