The End of Another School Year

Annaliese and Haleigh both finished off the school year last week; they both had some fun end-of-the-year activities that Kyle and I were able to partake in.

Haleigh's class had a graduation ceremony/party that included a few songs, a piñata, and of course, food! We've loved having Señora Polinder for preschool for the past few years and will definitely miss her next year! Haleigh has grown so much over the past two years; it's so much fun to hear her use Spanish vocabulary, randomly sing songs in Spanish, or ask how to say something in Spanish! She loved seeing Mallory at school every day and says the best part of school was 'practicing writing my name the right way.'

Annaliese's class wrapped up with a field trip to Pioneer Park, where they were able to tour the historic cabins, and an afternoon playing at Star Park.  Haleigh, Lydia, and I were able to go along for most of the day.

Annaliese brought home a big bag full of papers and projects that they've worked on at school over the past year. It was fun to look at all the things she's worked on! She made it all the way through the 1st grade math book and started on 2nd grade math, learned how to write in cursive, and spent a lot of time writing out Bible verses and explaining what they mean!
