Ferndale Father/Daughter Dance

Last week Tuesday evening was the annual Father/Daughter dance at Pioneer Park in Ferndale. Kyle and Annaliese have been once before, but it was definitely not on our radar for this year! But Mandi, our wonderful friend and baby-sitter, texted me last weekend and volunteered to stay and watch Lydia while Kyle went with Annaliese and Haleigh and her husband went with two of their girls! 

Needless to say, Annaliese and Haleigh were both very excited to go! Dancing has been a favorite activity in our house lately!

Lydia-11 Months!

Lydia is 11 months old! So much about her makes me smile...she has an amazing laugh, loves to be tickled, smiles the majority of the time and out-eats her sisters 90% of the time! She loves to snuggle and be in the middle of things, but will also sit quietly on the floor and play by herself. I'm pretty sure she could also eat Cheerios all day long!

Clothes: Lydia is wearing 9 month clothes and size 3 diapers. I don't feel like she is small for her age, but she's definitely not at the top of the curve!

Eating: Lydia loves to eat and will eat pretty much everything we give her. Eggs, pancakes, sausage, chicken, pork, cooked veggies...you name it, she will eat it! She prefers to have all finger foods and whenever we try to use a spoon, she ends up grabbing it and just making a big mess!

Teeth: 5; 4 on the bottom and one on the top left.

Sleeping: Lydia sleeps through the night, usually going to bed around 7:30-8:00ish and sleeping until 7:30ish in the morning. She sleeps with a sound machine on and usually a light blanket. If we are home, she will take two good naps, one in the morning and then one mid-afternoon.

Activities: Lydia enjoys just about everything! She loves swinging, playing with her sisters, grabbing Shelby's tail, putting anything and everything into her mouth, going for a run, watching Annaliese and Haleigh dance, cuddling, eating, and taking baths just to name a few things!

July Wrap-up

July seems to have flown by...our days were filled with hanging out with cousins, playing around the house, picnic dinners, bike-riding, and some blueberry picking!

We spent an evening out at Birch Bay...we picked up pizza on our way, Annaliese and Kyle went on a bike ride and Haleigh did some dancing!

Lookout Mountain Preserve

I took a look at the blog today and realized it's been awhile since I've posted anything and I have a little catching up to do! We spent one Saturday hiking around Lookout Mountain Preserve near Sudden Valley. It was easy enough for Haleigh to walk almost all of it and had quite a few options as far as different trails that we could take.
