6 Months!

It's hard to believe that Lydia is already 6 months old! But since each month seems to pass by so quickly, I guess it only makes sense! With each passing month, she is becoming more and more fun!! She loves to smile, laughs a lot and pretty much only cries when she is hungry or tired!

Sleeping: Not much has changed in the last month. Bedtime is still close to 9:00 and I usually wake her up between 7:00-7:30 am depending on our day. She is ready for a nap about an hour and a half after waking up, so around 8:30-9:00 if we are home. A second nap happens in the early afternoon, with both of them lasting about 1 1/2 hours. We wrap her in a blanket with her arms out and most mornings I find her awkwardly on her side with her back arched and her head back... it's hard to describe!

Eating: Lydia has been eating a lot lately! She also seems very interested in whatever I'm eating so we will probably give her some avocados or sweet potatoes soon! As far as milk goes, she eats between 3 and 6 ounces every 2 1/2-3 hours! She is still nursing and has no problems taking a bottle when I'm at work.

Activities: Lydia loves to be in the middle of all the action! She has started sitting up, so I will frequently put her on the floor by Annaliese and Haleigh and she will 'play' with them! Mostly that means grab whatever is in reach and eat it:) We will let her sit on the table in her bumbo seat at dinner (which works well as long as she can't reach anyone's food or drink!) Bath time is also a favorite...we usually bathe her in her infant tub in the kitchen sink and she is fascinating with a slow stream of running water. She also seems to enjoy sitting on the couch while Haleigh reads to her, snuggling with Daddy, pulling her sisters' hair, and playing with her toes. 

 Clothing: Everything Lydia is wearing right now is 6 months. She is in size 2 diapers. Socks and shoes don't stay on:)
