April Activities

Another month has passed. The days are filled with mostly regular activities. Gymnastics. Piano. Church events. Work. As if that didn't keep us busy enough, during April we also celebrated Easter, started spring soccer, and went to watch Newsies (a Hendricks Christmas gift!) It's all been so good. Busy, but good.

Spring Break

We had a pretty relaxed Spring Break and stuck around home. The weather wasn't that great, but we were still able to get out a little bit and everyone enjoyed the relaxed pace.

Haleigh had a roller-skating party. All the girls biked over to Auntie Kim's one afternoon. We spent a sunny day with Mallory and Owen and Auntie Kelsey. Annaliese asked to play with Semarie, and instead we all got invited over to their house to see all their baby goats (there were at least 15 goats running around!) The next day we met up with our friend Bri, from church, and headed out for a little hike and some fresh air. Annaliese wrapped up the week with a birthday party at Forge Fitness!

And in between, we played some games, did some crafts, organized dresser drawers, started building a shed, and went to work. All in all, a good spring break!

A Belated Happy Birthday

Haleigh turned 11 on March 7, and we spent several weeks celebrating...and there is still more fun to come!

We agreed that we would get a cat for her birthday this year, so the days leading up to her birthday were spent researching, looking at cats on Petfinder, and making plans to actually get a cat.

Her birthday fell over mid-winter break, and several of her friends were gone, so we opted to wait and have a birthday party at a later time. So on the actual day, we had a yummy dinner and opened the presents that had arrived in the mail!

For her party, we invited a few friends over for a sleepover. They played basketball, ate pizza, watched a movie, and had a great time together!
