This past weekend we made a quick trip over to Spokane. Kyle had a work meeting/birthday party on Sunday and since the kids didn't have school Friday or Monday, we decided to all go.
Our friends, John and Mandi, were gracious enough to let the whole family stay at with them. They moved to Spokane 6 years ago, and we've seen them when they've come back to Lynden, but we've never been out to visit them. It was such a great visit! LJ was there for part of the time, but he gave up his bedroom so Kyle and I would have a place to sleep so he had a double sleepover at his best friends house.
We got there on Saturday afternoon and spent the rest of the day at their house. It started snowing so the kids all bundled up and played in the snow, then enjoyed a movie and stayed up way too late!

Sunday morning we headed over to the school Mandi teaches at and played in the gym. After lunch, John and Kyle took the kids to a nearby sledding hill for some more fun in the snow. Mandi wasn't feeling great and Annaliese was wearing my snow clothes, so we stayed home and drank hot tea and visited!
Sunday evening we went to a concert that Keziah was in. She tried out for the Washington All-State Youth Choir and made it! She practiced all day Sunday and then their performance was Sunday evening. Kyle went to his work gathering and the rest of us went to her concert. They did a great job!
