August Wrap-up

I think I've covered a lot of the big activities of the past month, but there are always random fun pictures on my phone! We've done several weeks of swimming lessons, had lots of playdates with cousins, and have made it to a few small events around town.

It's hard to believe that the summer is over already; we start school next week! There are still a few things on our summer bucket list that we didn't get to do (like go to the zoo!) but we filled our days with a lot of fun activities and I think we are all ready for the beginning of the school year. 

Happy Anniversary!

Since Kyle and I celebrated our anniversary by going on a cruise to Alaska, we decided to include the girls on our anniversary date this year. I had the night off work, so after swimming lessons, we went out for dinner and bowling!

Fun at the Fair!

The Northwest Washington Fair is held every August and the fairgrounds in Lynden; it was right after we came back from Alaska so I wasn't sure if we were going to make it this year, but I was able to take the girls for the day. We met up with Kim and Kelsey and spent all day checking out the animals, riding on a few rides, and having fun! Annaliese really wanted to watch them ride horses, so after dinner at Kim's house, we actually went back to watch one of the 4-H horse events!

While we were away...

Papa Jay and Grandma Kelley were here while Kyle and I were on our cruise and it sounds like they all had a good time! Based on the pictures I saw, they made it to Star Park, Berthusen Park, Hovander, Larabee, Birch Bay, and Point Whitehorn! Plus they were able to spend time with Grandpa and Grandma Hendricks and both Auntie Kim and Auntie Kelsey and cousins!

We are so thankful that they were able to come and stay, giving us the opportunity to go away for the week! The girls are still talking about how much fun they had while you were here!
