A Belated Valentine's Day Celebration

Haleigh's class was scheduled to go to the fire station and have a Valentine's Day party last week, but due to all the snow/ice/cold weather we had last week, school was canceled and the party postponed until today. Kyle was originally planning on going, but he had things scheduled for this morning, so instead of him going, Lydia and I went along instead!

We met at the fire station and unfortunately, the crew was out on a call and nobody was there! Thankfully, one of the dads in our class is a fireman and was able to get us into the station and start our tour until the crew returned.

After our tour, we went back to school and the kids had a little Valentine's party. It's always fun to be in the classroom and watch all the kids together! They had a snack, decorated cookies and did a little activity. 

January Recap

 I'm not quite sure what happened, but I didn't take many pictures during the month of January. And the ones I did take are quite random! But here they are, none-the-less!

I decided I wanted to paint the family room...my mom came over and helped me!

And that about sums up our month! We tried to get outside as much as we could, and spent the time inside playing trains, building with magnets, reading books, and doing a little redecorating! I have a new mantle display in the living room which is almost done and now that I have a newly painted family room, I need to decide how to decorate it.
